Standout Skills
-
As Campus Manager for Fresh Prints, I generated over $200,000 in sales in less than two years, exceeding the sales target for every period. This earned the distinction as a top 6% account executive company-wide.
Going to school full time, and working 20 hrs/week, I learned how to identify leads, pitch effectively, build relationships, and manage orders end-to-end—all while working independently and on my own schedule. This position sharpened my sales, marketing, time management, client relations, and creative problem-solving skills.
-
As Intern at Vamp Official, a women’s clothing boutique, I shadowed and assisted the sole buyer developing line plans. Vamp Official drops new collections every 2-3 weeks, so I went through several life-cycle development plans for upcoming collections. This included trend research, budget analysis, wholesale shopping, buying, and visual merchandising.
-
Skilled in tracking gross margin, pricing, inventory management, purchase orders, and developing six-month buying plans. Skilled at applying mathematical formulas to manage profitability, inventory productivity, and merchandise budgeting for retail merchandising decisions. Skilled at analyzing sales, trends, and purchase behaviors based on the data results. I enjoy managing stock allocation and forecasting product performance.
-
I secured funding from local businesses for the FPA Silent Auction, raising the highest amount of funds in a decade. This experience sharpened my abilities in both communication and sales.
-
I was the Silent Auction Co-Chair and Co-Visual Merchandiser for the 33rd Annual Fashion Production Association Fashion Show at Ohio State. This is a student-run organization that welcomes over 500 attendees annually to celebrate student-designed and sewn pieces.

My Roots.
Since a young age, my passion for helping others and being creative was fueled by my entrepreneurial grandmother.
As a little girl, I would sit in my grandmother’s boutique Past Basket in Geneva, IL and provide a list of reasons why anyone who walked in the store should buy the “little pink pig soap”. Being a cute little kid definitely had its perks! Nonetheless, that time spent with my grandmother was my introduction into the world of retail, and sales.
Since then, I developed photography skills through hands-on experience in high school, of which earned me highlights and accolades by the National Student Film Festival. I have used those skills working countless hours for Past Basket, shooting product and filming in-store events.
In 2020, I launched my own business, Marta Thrifts, from what started as a simple Spring cleaning project. Focused on providing affordable, stylish, and sustainable fashion, I thoughtfully curate and sell clothing that is on trend AND reduces the environmental impact of fast fashion.

I aim to cultivate a community of like-minded individuals who embrace self-expression and values sustainable fashion as a way of life.
